Welcome!

Hello Everyone,
Good things are in store for you here! The first purpose of this blog is to create a place where Rachel, Liz, and myself can share the details of our recent trip to Nauvoo. We are so excited to do that....and we will!  But when we're done showing you our photos and telling of our adventures, we hope to be able to do a lot more here.

You see, as we were preparing for this Nauvoo visit, we got to know some pretty amazing people a little bit better, and we want to help you get to know them, too!  Who are they?  Our very own ancestors! 
In the future posts of this blog we hope you will come to learn their stories and see them as real people....not just names on old paper, in old books. 
Now, don't worry....we will not be putting long, long histories here! But what we DO want to put here are things like photos of them (if there are any), brief sketches of their lives, pictures and/or videos that help us understand them or their times better, and resources....where to learn more if you want to read more about them.  We want this blog to be a place where we celebrate their lives, their times and their accomplishments! 
We invite you to join in and learn about them with us.  If you or your family go visit a place where our ancestors were, take pictures! Make videos, and send them our way.  We'll share them here.  If you have an idea or a story you want to tell that helps us to know an ancestor better, please send it our way!
